Artist's Insights:
Q. Rather than being featured, Marilyn Monroe seems to serve as wallpaper here behind the boisterous Katzenjammer kids. Is this the first time you have overlapped faces?
A. Perhaps it is. I experimented with adding more Marilyn Monroe rows with the kids in the center but nothing worked. Finally, I cut the canvas in half horizontally and the pairing clicked!
