Q. No Art Wheels series would be complete without Mona Lisa, don't you think?
A. I was reminded when I decided to use Mona Lisa that, many years before, I had seen a representation of Mona Lisa driving a bus! A bus windshield would have given me more room! As I was finishing the painting, I noticed that the small orange headlights are similar in shape and hue to Mona Lisa's face. These lights pop out amid the silvery gray tones and provide a simple subtlety that I like.
